Alfa Chemistry offers custom reflective coating services for a wide range of functions involving anti-reflective coatings, highly reflective metallic coatings, and partially reflective coatings. To satisfy the needs of the customer, we will design a substrate-based film. In addition, we'll test the film's reflection using cutting-edge testing gear.
Highly Reflective Coating
Highly reflective (HR) coatings are frequently used to reduce losses when reflecting lasers and other light sources because they offer strong reflection in specific wavelength regions. HR coatings include highly reflective dielectric coatings and metallic coatings. Due to their low absorption characteristics, HR coatings offer better and more efficient spectrum performance.
Alfa Chemistry specializes in customizing HR coatings for demanding laser applications requiring ultra-low scattering and absorption properties. Beyond the designated reflective band, these optical coatings can be further tailored to offer additional high-pass or low-pass wavelength performance.

Partially Reflective Coating
Coatings that are partially reflective (PR) perform an attenuation function. It has a partially transmissive coating on one surface and an anti-reflective coating on a second surface. When the angle of incidence (AOI) is zero degrees, a portion of the light beam is reflected back. The power ratio between the two beams is determined by the coating. Alfa Chemistry can design PR coatings with reflectivity from 10% to 99.7% to achieve the desired performance.
For optical components that beam split in a variety of optical areas, from UV to IR, we provide unique ultra-broadband PR coatings. With a tolerance of roughly 5%, broadband PR coatings are commonly employed for beam splitting at 45-degree angles to broadband light, such as 50/50, 40/60, and 30/70.
