We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-driven Technical Sales Account Advisor that shares our enthusiasm for the quickly expanding optics and photonics industry. This position requires the Technical Account Consultant to build and maintain relationships with existing customers through regular communication and excellent customer service. Meet or exceed sales goals. Increase knowledge of customer industries and sectors and ensure the highest level of customer service, technical knowledge and advice is always provided.
Job Description
The candidate will primarily be responsible for implementing sales strategies, cultivating relationships with current and potential customers, identifying their needs based on product specifications, and planning and producing the appropriate products in accordance with those needs to support sales goals. The candidate will be selling to customers who can create new products using non-linear and laser crystals or precision optical material materials. This will necessitate developing new client ties in addition to fostering already existing ones.
Our customers work in the electronics and optoelectronics, biomedical, and sensors industries around the world. In order to meet customer needs and provide expert technical support to build and maintain relationships with customers and drive product sales, the ideal candidate should also have excellent communication skills and extensive professional experience.
Key Responsibilities
No.1 Account Management
- Represent Alfa Chemistry in a professional, knowledgeable and courteous manner at all times.
- Ensure the successful delivery of optical products - from quote generation to final product delivery of customer orders, liaising with relevant departments regarding quality, metrology and shipping.
- Responsible for handling customer requests for quote-related documentation, as well as regulatory and professional technical support.
- Maintain and improve satisfaction with existing partners by building long-term relationships with existing customers through regular communication and excellent customer service.
- Maintain communication with customers and potential customers to understand needs and challenges and actively explore new prospects.
- Keeps abreast of market dynamics, application trends, and competitive trends and feeds back to the team to develop business development plans.
- Maximize customer spend by understanding the optical products supplied by Alfa Chemistry.
- Meet or exceed expected sales and revenue budgets for the region.
- Attend customer meetings.
No.2 Technical Consulting
- Always maintain a positive, understanding and professional attitude towards our customers
- Become a technical expert in specific industries and fields.
- Provide expert technical advice on optics and related products
- Provide technical support and advice to customers on technical specifications, designs and applications
- To provide cost effective, quality driven and timely solutions to our customers.
Alfa Chemistry will provide uniform training on the above.
Job Requirements
Essential:
- Master's degree in physical chemistry, materials science, chemistry, engineering or equivalent
- Strong professional background in optical crystal material characterization and measurement techniques
- Sales experience and/or customer service experience within the technical industry
- Highly developed communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Presentation experience
- Degree in a science and/or technology related discipline
- Passion for science and technology
