Laser Prisms

In a variety of applications involving beam steering or beam manipulation, laser prisms are used to refocus the laser beam. To achieve high reflectivity in a particular wavelength range, laser prisms employ a variety of substrates, coatings, or a combination of the two. In order to reroute the laser beam's direction, laser prisms are made to internally reflect the laser beam off of various surfaces. Esco carefully chooses the vertex angle to ensure best performance at each desired visible spectrum wavelength. There are several different kinds of laser prisms available, including deformed, right-angle, and retroreflective models made for various beam deflection scenarios.

Laser Prisms

Customers can choose from a variety of laser prisms from Alfa Chemistry, such as dispersive prisms, pentaprisms, right-angle prisms, and more. A typical kind of prism is a right-angle prism, which reflects the laser beam off its interior surface at a 90° angle. The reflector sends the laser beam back to its source by reflecting light off of all of its surfaces.

Additionally, we can offer prisms that the customer has created with atypical angles. Angular tolerance within 2 seconds, surface quality 40-20, and flatness 1/10 are among the production requirements.
