Custom Optical Mirrors

Optical mirrors were created to meet the requirement for light reflection, an optical element that utilizes the laws of light reflection. The ultraviolet (UV) through far infrared (IR) spectrum is covered by Alfa Chemistry's selection of optical mirrors, which are frequently used in interferometry, imaging, the life sciences, and metrology. A typical selection of stock is available for all of our lenses. Additionally, we provide specially made lenses that are created to the design, diameter, curvature, thickness, surface quality, and focal length requirements of the customer.

With years of expertise and a technical team that is highly competent, we are prepared and equipped to satisfy the demands of your particular project. We achieve this by paying close attention to every detail, carefully considering your needs, and producing custom optics that meet or surpass your expectations.

Our Capabilities

Alfa Chemistry can offer specialized optical mirrors to satisfy specialized requirements and specifications. Spherical/reflective mirrors, flat mirrors, and aspheric mirrors are the three main types of optical mirrors. They are, however, mostly manufactured via optical coating or by choosing specific metal components.

Our Capabilities

Depending on the application, a number of substrates are available, but low thermal expansion glasses such as borosilicate, float glass, borosilicate glass (BK7), and fused silica are the most often used materials. Depending on the coating used, any of these optics mirror materials can have their reflective qualities improved. Our coatings range from the following, but not exclusively:

  • 94 percent reflectivity enhanced aluminum coating for applications requiring visible light.
  • For applications involving visible light and lasers, a 99.9% dielectric coating is required.
  • UV coatings of aluminum and magnesium for UV applications down to 180 nm.
  • NIR dielectric coating for lasers operating in the 98.5 % near-infrared.
  • Silver coatings with ion plating for NIR up to 2000 nm.
  • For applications ranging from 750 nm to far infrared, protected gold coatings.
  • Different optical elements, such as windows, prisms, and concave lenses, can be coated with mirrors.

The Right Custom Optical Mirror

Alfa Chemistry creates mirrors of every size and forms for a range of uses, including semiconductors, laser systems, metrology, astronomy, and more. For certain uses, we make metallic and dielectric mirrors. The reflectivity, bandwidth, durability, and laser damage threshold of these mirrors can all be maximized. Alfa Chemistry has been manufacturing the best optical mirrors for beam control and imaging for many years. To deliver the best products to our consumers, we adhere to the most recent industry research and procedures.

Right Custom Optical Mirror

To make optics work as intended, a full understanding of your application and specifying the correct optical characteristics are critical to reducing costs and sourcing the perfect mirror. When requesting a quote for your custom optics, the following should be carefully considered and provided, which will help us to clearly understand your requirements and thus quote faster and more accurately.
