Laser Filters

Laser filters are used to transmit the wavelengths required for various laser applications while rejecting one or more wavelengths. Laser filters are created utilizing different substrates, coatings, or a mix of both to reflect a certain range of wavelengths while transmitting all other light. Optical filters like bandpass, longpass, and notch are examples of laser filters. Dichroic filters come in a variety of sizes and can be used to choose a specific wavelength or transmission width.

Alfa Chemistry offers a wide range of laser filters to fit the needs of many laser systems. In a particular wavelength band, we have neutral density filters with flat transmission properties. Additionally, band-pass filters, which omit out-of-band spectral components while selectively transmitting a particular wavelength range.

All wavelengths within a certain range are reflected by long-pass filters, while all wavelengths outside of that range are transmitted. All wavelengths below or above the cutoff point are transmitted via notch filters while a limited range of wavelengths are selectively reflected. For isolating a very particular range of wavelengths, trap filters are perfect.
