Anti-reflective (AR) coatings are widely used optical film coatings that can be applied to the surface of optical components to reduce reflections and improve transmittance in certain spectral regions. Alfa Chemistry offers customer-specific substrate materials with specified transmittance and a specified wavelength range of wideband, single-wave, and dual-wave anti-reflective optical coatings.
These anti-reflective (AR) coatings can be used on substrates made of crystal, plastic, and glass. Our AR coatings have also undergone testing to ensure they adhere to military standards and strict LDT (high laser damage threshold testing) criteria. They are becoming a part of numerous new LiDAR and AR/VR applications. These optical coatings can be cleaned with alcohol, acetone, and mild soap solutions.
Our Coating Types
- Broadband Multilayer AR Coating: Over a broad spectral range, the coating performs wonderfully. The coating performance is sensitive to the angle of incidence and significantly reduces the surface reflectance in the broad spectrum region.
- Single Wavelength AR Coating: The middle of the visible spectrum is typically where single wavelength transmission enhancement coatings are non-reflective. Multiple layers are more effective over the entire visible spectrum.
- Dual Wavelength AR Coating: A high transmittance is offered by dual-wavelength enhancing coatings at two distinct wavelengths. It is helpful for optics that must transmit UV or NIR process beams as well as visible-aligned lasers. It can also be used to communicate the wavelengths of the fundamental and first harmonic.
