Fresnel Rhombus, 400-700nm, λ /4

Alfa Chemistry provides customers with Fresnel diamond products. They are designed such that two total internal reflections within the rhombus provide a π/2 phase difference between the orthogonally polarized components of the radiation. Therefore, if there is a 45° angle between the polarizations of the linearly polarized incident plane, the outgoing beam is circularly polarized.

1. Rotate the polarization to work in a wide wavelength range; 2. λ/2 rhomb is the λ/4 rhomb of two optical contacts;

Fresnel diamonds are used to change the polarization type of radiation due to the unequal phase shifts created in the orthogonally polarized components of the incident wave of total internal reflection.
