Yttrium calcium borate (YCOB) crystals are excellent dielectrics for nonlinear optics and high temperature piezoelectric applications. YCOB crystals are non-deliquescent and therefore chemically stable, and also have effective nonlinear coefficients that may even be greater than the higher temperature tolerance of LBO. Alfa Chemistry offers YCOB crystals up to 100mm in diameter, grown by Czochralski, contributing to faster growth rates and lower costs.
