Barium fluoride (BaF2) materials are used in optical windows, prisms and lenses to convert ultraviolet light to infrared light and can be used as infrared laser windows or lenses. We supply our customers with BaF2 lenses.

1. Useful transmission range covers 0.265-10 µm; 2. Fluoride is the most resistant to high-energy radiation 3. The solubility of BaF2 is lower than that of LiF, but it is relatively more soluble than MgF2 and CaF2.
BaF2 is recommended for VUV windows requiring high radiation resistance.
