Client Background
A company specializing in the research and manufacturing of infrared optical systems, focusing on high-end infrared detectors and imaging systems. Their applications include military surveillance, medical imaging, and environmental monitoring, requiring optical systems that operate across a wide wavelength range.
Requirement
The client needed custom AMTIR (Ge33As12Se55) optical components to enhance the performance of their infrared systems, particularly in the short-wave infrared (SWIR) and mid-wave infrared (MWIR) ranges. The optical components were required to have high transmittance, durability, and long-term stability under high-temperature conditions.
Solution
Alfa Chemistry provided custom AMTIR optical components, including lenses, prisms, and windows. Using precision machining of Ge33As12Se55, we ensured each component achieved high transmittance within the target wavelength range, excellent thermal stability, and corrosion resistance.
Optical Component Specifications
- Wavelength Range: 1.5 μm to 5 μm (SWIR and MWIR)
- Transmittance: >90% (within 1.5 μm to 5 μm)
- Material: Ge33As12Se55, offering excellent infrared transmittance and thermal stability
- Dimensions: Diameter 50 mm, Thickness 10 mm (customizable per client requirements)
Results
